Do you enjoy fruity wines?

I’m making this article to gauge what people think about wines made from various fruit like cherries, blackberries, apples and even more exotic tropical fruits like oranges and pineapples. I talked recently with a close friend of mine, and he didn’t even know that there are wines made from these fruit, and that he thinks they would taste weird. His attitude seems to suggest that he doesn’t even want to try them out.

Do you enjoy fruity wines?

I’ll be the first to admit that you can’t really find a pineapple wine in stores in Ireland, at least you can’t in the greater Dublin area. From time to time you’ll find cherry wine or blueberry wine in stores. I usually order fruit wine online, from wineries in France and Spain. Smaller wineries there tend to be more willing to experiment with these types of wines.

So yes, what do you guys think about let’s say cherry wine? I personally like cherry wine, and I’m ecstatic when I come across a bottle of a cherry wine. But there’s some folks who seem to only acknowledge the traditional wine made from grapes. What do you think? Can you enjoy fruit wines? Would you like to try orange wine?
